Our Venue

Kane Hall @ University of Washington

Just north of Portage Bay lays one of the most beautiful campuses in the United States, the University of Washington. Its historical buildings are surrounded by an overwhelming amount of green spaces. The Arbor Day Foundation named UW, “a 2017 Tree Campus USA member.”

Our location for PyCascades 2019 is Kane Hall located on Red Square.

Around the campus, the University District is shaped by the youthful energy of the students calling this part of Seattle their home. The abundance of coffee shops, pubs, and restaurants reflects the vibrant activity of the area.

Accommodation

There are several options for accommodation within walking distance of our venue, Kane Hall. Since we are meeting over a weekend on February 23rd and 24th, you may book farther away from the venue without worrying about entanglement in Seattle’s punishing weekday traffic. Downtown Seattle hotels will be near public transit options, such as King County buses and Link Light Rail, that can transport you to within a few minutes walking distance of Kane Hall. For four star and above accommodations, Bellevue will often be priced lower than Seattle hotels.
